Goal Creation of the new Eera atelier in Sega di Cavaion Veronese.
Concept An old industrial building is turned into a contemporary multifunctional space that recalls the vocation for the extraction and processing of the stone in the Verona district.
Design The project involved the renovation of internal and external spaces where permanent or temporary exhibitions of stone objects and settings are hosted as well as workshops and educational events and an area where one can design along with specialized technicians and use a wide selection of material samples. Despite the contemporary architectural style, the building maintains a dialogue with its past because some peculiar elements of its old production activity are still preserved. The project was developed in collaboration with the Quiet Architecture studio from Treviso.
