goal Designing a texture to customise the lava-stone worktops of a kitchen.

concept&design Lava, an ancient material originating deep within the Earth, becomes a design element. Precious, tactile surfaces with a strong personality are distinguished by a bespoke texture created specifically for MVK+ITALIA. The “+” symbol in the brand logo is reinterpreted and deconstructed to create an exclusive pattern that subtly brings the brand’s values to the kitchen surfaces. The design was unveiled at Fuorisalone 2018.
