concept Created for 11 and Argine in December 2017, the performance saw Barcellona offer his personal interpretation of a passage from J. W. von Goethe’s *Farbentheorie* (*Theory of Colours*), accompanied by readings from the same work. Conceived jointly by the creative directors of Argine and 11, the performance aimed to remind us that colour is the most immediate and powerful visual code: it speaks directly to our “souls” without needing to be processed by the brain.

biografia Born in 1978, Luca Barcellona is considered one of the world’s leading calligraphers. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with brands such as Fila, Nike, Mondadori and Alfa Romeo, and exhibited his work in museums and galleries in Italy and abroad.
