Concept & design <\/span>Glassblowing is to Venice what violins are to Cremona and gianduia to Turin: it is an integral part of its craftsmanship.<\/p>

Antesia is an idea born from the very nature of the material from which it is created, from the fascinating metamorphosis of incandescent glass which, blown through the pipes of Venetian masters, expands until it takes on its final form in the wooden mould.<\/p>

Antesia narrates the evolution of this fluid material by generating four homothetic forms, each revealing its own origin. Like a blossoming (from which the name Antesia derives), the smallest form (the ovary protected by the calyx) gradually expands, until the entire corolla unfolds (the final form).<\/p>

Its sinuous, soft, feminine forms reveal the delicacy of ancient artistic gestures, capable today of creating elegant contemporary objects.<\/p>

Each lamp in the Antesia collection is designed to cast its own soft light in any type of setting, whilst also complementing its own variations, thus creating rich compositions that can be freely expanded to suit any space, from the smallest to the largest.<\/p>

Antesia is a fluid design that lends itself to creating lighting schemes in both the hospitality and residential sectors. From the single Antesia 1a lamp, which gently illuminates a small bedside table, to Antesia 2nd and Antesia 3rd, which can be used to create larger lighting schemes, even when interacting with one another. It is precisely in the interaction of its different phases (1st, 2nd, 3rd) that the narrative of the project reveals its fascinating, evolving nature.<\/p>

Antesia 4th, the ultimate form, was created to be a delicate yet seductive presence in a convivial space, the centre around which relationships become warm and intimate, just like our evenings with Venetian friends, filled with \u2018ciacoe\u2019 and good wine.<\/p>

Antesia brings the magic of Venetian blown glass to the Masiero catalogue, with a timeless stylistic approach that infuses any setting with a touch of contemporary romance. Today, people seek objects with a soul, perhaps crafted to perfection by extraordinary artisanal skills, whose roots lie in ancient traditions such as, in the case of Antesia, those of the historic glassworks on the island of Murano, in the Venetian lagoon.<\/p>

It is a collection that, by its very nature, lends itself to enhancing any type of setting; in its larger configurations, even very spacious areas such as lobbies and stairwells. Its stylistic eclecticism harmonises equally well with both characterful, lived-in spaces and contemporary minimalist interiors.<\/p>

The four Antesia lamps are all different, yet when placed together they reveal their shared, evolving nature: this allows architects and interior designers to bring a rich visual language to both domestic settings and large-scale contract projects.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Stella Gianola is a young designer whose creative exploration is guided by an attentiveness to the authentic spirit of things. With a free-spirited approach yet a keen focus on the value of raw materials and the craftsmanship of diverse cultures \u2013 thanks in part to her training in product design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London \u2013 she conceives and designs interior design objects with a delicate yet distinctive character.
Particularly drawn to Japanese aesthetic culture, she seeks simplicity and function through in-depth research, drawing inspiration from the architecture, art and craft traditions of every country in the world.
